The company is one of the main companies of the group and is responsible for the core area „Steel Division“. It produces flat steel products for the automotive, household appliance and construction supply industries as well as for processing companies in the group. A lime works is also operated in Steyrling (Upper Austria) and a research department at the Linz location. In the subdivided companies there are further areas of work: Heavy plate, foundry and forging activities, as well as steel service centers, steel trading and logistics.
